Stephen F. Austin entered this season with 11 consecutive losses. When preseason ballots were returned to the Southland office, each head coach and SID voted the Lumberjacks last.

Flip the card over to the defensive end and in a league with so many high-powered offenses, the Jacks lead the league in pass defense. Tim Knicky has emerged as the top pass rusher in the league, ranking fourth in the nation with 7.5 sacks. With a team that is building toward the future, Knicky is only a junior and still has one more year of getting into backfields left. Ranked second in the nation in tackles for losses with 2.14 a game, Knicky had four solo sacks against South Dakota State.

Not quite..but impressive all the same.
