The U of Montana has changed the highlight format. No longer does Windows Media player open, it is now a flash player.
Just click the play button.

I loved their highlight videos for the first couple games.
The new format kind of sucks, IMO. xoopsx

I agree, but can't complain too much, as there are few schools that have highlights like this.
Now if we could get the U to give BigSkyTV a decent audio feed for the internet streaming.

You are seeing the emergence of one of the best QB's in FCS that will get zero press and zero respect this season. He's like 27-5 in his career. He'll just flat out beat you. Watch the clip, he dominates Sac. State. 17-19, 290 yards, 4 TD's 0 ints, and he runs for 1 TD.
Now the 2nd rated QB in FCS.

the best thing about this: his replacement next year is excellent.
edit: and I think it's been proven now that Bergquist to Mariani is right up there with Dally to Barden as the best QB-WR combo in FCS.

What about Bergquist to Ferriter also.
Anyone got a better tandem of Wide Outs?
Mariani 40 catches, 825 yards, 11 TD's, 20.63 ypc
Ferriter 27 catches, 475 yards, 6 TD's, 17.59 ypc

Yeah Ferriter has been lurking in Mariani's shadow, most teams don't notice him until after he's already burned them.

Yet to be mentioned here. Palmer had a 100 yard game this year too. The likes of Schulte, KAZ, and Sambrano not being utilized or seeing the field. 3 big athletic TE's. Makes me wonder why we do not put up the big numbers more often?

You've got me. Schulte is every bit as talented as Ferriter with a little less physicality. He is getting some touches at RB though.

Palmer had a couple of nice catches yesterday. Shulte returned 3 kicks (20, 28, 30) and made a nice catch. Kaz did not see playing time but he was dressed and looked healthy. Sambrano is in a leg cast.
Montana has a boat load of good WR's but getting playing time behind Ferriter, Mariani and Palmer is limited at best. Shulte will get more opportunities at returning as the value of Mariani at WR increases. No doubt though, these backups will get their opportunity, in due course. In the mean time Mariani and Ferriter are nothing short of money in the bank for the Griz.

Even more amazing, Mariani, Ferriter, Palmer, Schulte, KAZ, Pfaler, and Beaudin are all Montana kids

Good point. I was just thinking that. How different from a few seasons ago when BH had skill positions filled with IA transfers and/or California recruits. It really is amazing how much of this team is home grown Monto kids as well as coaches. Kudos to BH.

Gratton, Cazy, and Hardy also all MT kid, all freshman, all waiting in the wings for TE and WR. It is hard to argue that Montana HS football having improved so much is a big reason for Montana's winning tradition these days. I have to give credit to the coaching staff for building these kids coming from all levels of HS football. The B and C schools are producing FCS talent now. WOW!

How about this UCD trio? (games/rec./yds/TD/long/avg)
Mariani is excellent, but I don't think Montana has the best receiving corps in the land.
