Different sport. Word came out of New York this weekend that Milan Prodanovic, a could-make-a-difference combination guard, had given a verbal commitment to attend Iona to play basketball.
Prodanovic chose Iona over UNH and Fairfield.
The early signing period, when recruits make commitments official, runs Nov. 9-16.
UNH coach Bill Herrion, who has four scholarships to give, has said he hopes to sign players for two of those slots during the early period.
Herrion, who has had his team practicing behind closed doors, has a public exhibition game Sunday at 1 p.m. against Merrimack at Lundholm Gymnasium.
