Well that's fair....xmadx considering the prerequisites...
Our Best Sports City rankings, which look at the 12 months from roughly October 2007 to October 2008, are based on point values assigned to various categories, including but not limited to won-lost records, postseason appearances, applicable power ratings, number of teams and attendance.
Kinda hard to get any points with those qualifiers....xmadx xlolx

Ogden above Missoula? xrolleyesxIf we were just talking college football, Missoula would probably be the highest, or one of the highest football cities, but in all sports, I can see Missoula ranking lower than other cities. xtwocentsx

I would think that this is incredibly incorrect. To get an accurate picture of what the BEST sports town, you would need to take all of the mentioned factors into consideration, but also weight that against the town/cities population.
Without looking at exact figures, I would think that the average attendance of major sporting events as a percentage of overall population would be incredibly low for a city like New York or Dallas, but extremely high for some like Knoxville, Ann Arbor, and Missoula. Obviously you would have to award extra points to a town whose sporting events consistently average sell-outs, because the total attendance figures would be higher if at all possible.
If anything, this list becomes valuable after all of the big cities are named.
