and hire Joel Quenneville who used to be with the Avs and azzhole Blues. xnonono2x xnonono2x

I don't get this, but I guess I need to trust the new management.

ISUMatt: Thoughts? Why did this happen? Toews had the players only meeting the other night, but I have not heard anything about issues b/w players and Savvy. Can't wait to hear what Conroyd, Foley and Olyczyk have to say.

From a Yahoo article

The team is now run by owner Rocky Wirtz, and the combination of a slow start and a big public relations push may have led to Savard’s abrupt ouster.

A slow start? They were 1-2-1. That's 4 games of 82 or 84. You have to be kidding me.

1st off, my level of how pissed I am is off the charts right now, I cant describe to you how pissed I am...

In the off-season, the Hawks hired Quenneville, and refused to give Savvy an extension...right there at that moment the writing was on the wall...Denis had to look over his shoulder and bam only 4 games in, he gets let go...Its real easy to see that Quenneville was the guy Tallon wanted...From a coaching standpoint, you cannot argue with the decision as Joe is very experienced and has led multiple teams to the playoffs...It seems to me this move was inevitable so why not do it in the off-season instead of f.ucking over Denis Savard...

Denis Savard is an icon here in Chicago, he got the loudest ovation at the home opener Monday and gutless Dale Tallon fires him after a home ice win when the team hits the road...I dont trust the Hawks brass anymore, it was not Savard that signed Khabibulin to 7 mil a year, then Huet to 5 mil a year...Then cuz Tallon has soo much money tied up, they had to trade Robert Lang, leaving the Hawks short handed at center...Savvy brought Kane and Toews along last year molding them into All-Star calibur kids...The only knock I can see is the PP, but 4 games into a season is not a time to get drastic about it...

Im sure Ill get over it and cheer my Hawks on....but for today Im pissed, I hate Dale Tallon...Just when this team gets out of the dark ages, Tallon goes and does something which I guarentee you has extremely pissed off the season ticket holders...Somehow, SOmeway, $Bill Wirtz has reached out from beyond the grave and is trying to pull this franchise back into the *****.hole it was when he was running the show...Its obvious that McDonough and Co did all the right things to get the fans back, hiring of Foley, home games on TV, but now that everything seemed good, its time to fu.ck us over once again!!!!

Way to treat a legend, everytime I walk into the UC and see the #18 hang from the rafters, I will be reminded of just how we royally screwed him over

How would Scotty be involved?

How would Scotty be involved?

Scotty was hired as a special assistant to the organization and rumblings are his first reports back to the bosses were that he wasnt sold on the current head and assistant coaches...Bowman's son Stan has been a part of the organization for a few years now and Scotty was hired this summer

Hell I would rather see Bowman behind the bench than Quenneville, but letting Savvy go is ridiculous.

Yes the PP sucked a big one, but it's 4 games out of 82. Pathetic.

Dude! In times like these, let alcohol be your friend. It'll calm you, soothe you, make life good again.

Or take away any inhibitions you may have about packing heat when you go to bitchslap them...

It is very clear...This was SCOTTY BOWMAN'S decision...GM Dale Tallon is a dead man walking to use a friend of mine's words...all the good will built up and Scotty Bowman is taking the wrecking ball to it...I feel bad for Dale Tallon today, I really do

My anger is pretty evident but growing up and living in the Chicago area for 34 out or 34 years, I attached myself to 3 childhood heros...

1. Walter Payton
2. Harold Baines
3. Denis Savard

It breaks me apart to see this unjust firing 4 games into the season
