I knew about the last few years but Jmu/Ur has the away team winning most of the time longer than that. We are 6-2 in Harrisonburg (and 3-5 in Richmond) over the last 16 years. Anyone else have strange series like this? or anyone except Jmu have a 75% winning percentage in Harrisonburg?

UofR has figured out the Bridgeforth secret, so don't tell, haha. Off the top of my head (so give or take 1), we've only lost 3 or 4 home games in the last 5 years. I saw somewhere a stat like 32-4. Again those are rough figures, but fairly accurate.
Its not AS strange that JMU wins at UR because we have a near 50/50 crowd split. But for UR to come into a hostile Harrisonburg and win that much, is impressive.

Same thing happened '93-'97. '98-'03 only 1 away win (I think UR in '01).

Could it be that not having a large & loud home crowd each week, actually improves our chances on the road, and allows the team to be ready for it? In the past, we seem to be less affected by location than most teams.
Maybe, but I still think we are trying to change the home atmosphere, and it has been improving the last 5 (6?) years.

Since 1986 when Delaware joined the Yankee Conference and the Hens have been conference mates with the Wildcats, UNH has been 6-2 at Delaware. And of course, the Blue Hens have been 6-3 in Durham during the same time frame. xrotatehx xrotatehx xrotatehx
And one of those wins was a gift from the zebras (2003) ;) :p (Sorry, I'll go to my grave thinking that FG was good. And I won't forget it until then or until dementia kicks in or until drinking has killed a sufficient number of braincells. :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p SCBH will no doubt assist the latter option in late November! ;) xlolx xlolx )

Last year, for the first time since the first two games ever of the ASU/GaSo series (1932, 1934) the visiting team won two straight games (App won @ GaSo in 06, GaSo won @ App in 06)

Might have been my post over on the caazone you were refering to, or at least I'll flatter myself and say it was.:p

06' 6-0 home, 3-3 road (losses ASU, Nova, YSU)
07' 5-1 home (loss 17-16 semifinalist UR), 3-3 road (losses UNC, UD, ASU)
08' 4-0 home, 3-1 road (loss Duke)

I was at the UR-JMU game out there in '95, I think it was (?) when we were down 33-14 with like 5 minutes to go and ended up winning 34-33 in what I think is still the craziest/best game I have ever seen in person, even better than Saturday's game.

Yeah, and to top it off, as I recall JMU WR Macey Brooks (07' 4th? round draft pick Chicago) caught a long bomb and was tackled around the 2 yard line on the last play of the game.
JMU went 8-3 that season, losing 31-24 @ ASU in the 1st round. Was the 2nd yr in a row in the playoffs- 94' beat Troy St at home (JMU's last home playoff game) then lost @ Marshall in OT in the quarterfinals.

Actually that is 11 of 16 (Like I said xsmiley_wix )
Before that 1 more UR win and then the streaks (5 in a row by JMU after 4 in a row by UR) for a complete total of 14-12 UR
