How did ISU get into range with no timeouts? Was it a bad squid kick or what? I know it hurts but I wana know. Then you can go drink. ;)

Squib kick returned to ISU 35. Two quick completions along the sidelines got the ball to ISU 40. Pass interference penalty on PSU pushed the ball to PSU 49. Quick out to PSU 38 completed receiver goes out of bounds. Clock stopped at seven seconds. Ball spotted at PSU 44. Kick splits the uprights and would have been good from 60.

I saw that ISU kicker in Bozeman-he hits a towering shot that's for sure.

I mean, I've seen a couple games in Pocatello so I know about the arena Idaho State plays in. You can kick the ball aways in there. But shouldn't you feel rather confident knowing the opposition is going to try to beat you with a 54 yard field goal? 54 yards? I know about Tom Dempsey, yes. But this is college football. This is to knock us out of the playoffs. 54 yards. Maybe we shouldn't have got that penalty late. Maybe we should have defended better on the last series. But the kick was 54 yards.

Just like our namesakes in the NFL, we come so close, yet for whatever reason we can't get over the hump. Good game Bengals. You were destined to win that game.
