Just turned the broadcast on. TB Ball on a 14 yd toss. I think the score is 21-13. Sounded like a great sliding, one-handed catch by Ball.

Good KO return for Hofstra then a short field drive for a TD. Two point conversion fails. UNH up 21-19.

Not sure how long I'll be able to keep providing the details!

HU holds UNH, partially deflects the punt and gets good field position. Then HU commits their 6th TO with a fumble and UNH recovers.

I think everyone has moved on to other games!

UNH announcers say Hofstra is playing very well, but the turnovers are killing them.

Long pass to Ball. Then 9 yard run by Mckoy. LeVan on a pitch, UNH on the 10. Holding on UNH, 1st and goal from the 19th.

5:36 left in the 3rd Quarter.

UNH ruins the drive with multiple penalties and then a sack. "Fake" a 49 yd by pooch punting. 3:15 left in the 3rd.

FWIW, UNH gets the wind in the 4th quarter.

Crenshaw gets a long run to bring HU close to field goal range -- on the 37.

Hofstra stops UNH after a first and goal. Now they are driving down to the UNH 15. 1st down.

Clarkson to Ellis. 1st down at the 15.

Pass interference, 1st and goal from the 2.

Oh my God, Huggins runs in for a TD and fumbles. They let the fumble stand even though he had broken the plane of the goal line before he fumbled. Hofstra was robbed.

I can't dispute the luck factor.I think it played a part in the game against you guys last week as well. The main problem with luck is that it always tends to run out sooner or later.

I really think either UMass or UNH could make it 3 in a row this year... UNH is now in the playoffs and UMass needs 1 more win.

Just getting back online, UNH wins 29-26. Obviously, I didn't listen to the entire game and I didn't hear the call of the fumble. But there was a definite trend during this game of Hofstra turnovers. There had been six by the end of the 3rd quarter I believe. I think any rational Dutch fan will say that the game was lost by those turnovers and it shouldn't have come down to that one play at the goal line.

All I know is Uncle Buck is going to be beside himself with his Dutch "giving away" a game to UNH two years in a row! It really is painful to be a pretty decent team in this league and not make those couple of plays to become a first tier team. JMU and Hofstra fall into that category this year. And make no mistake about it, I completely acknowledge and appreciate that the sun seems to be shining on UNH this season.

You should be able to come up with a win against Hofstra(I'm not forgetting how things can go in the A-10 though),and while it should be a tough game, coming out on top at West Point is definitely a possibility IMHO.

Attendance noted on the UNH/Hofstra box score at TSN. I can't believe that is all that showed up for this game with so much riding on outcome. That should be an embarrasment to the "Pride". I know when Lehigh played there in the playoffs back in 1999, I thought we had almost as many in the stands as did the, then Flying Dutchman. With the size of the school and surrounding populace, you'd think they should get 10,000 to come out for a meaningful game??

This was such a dishartening loss, comming form a Hofstra Alum and fan. The defense played out of their minds. Holding UNH to just 29 pts. They stuffed just about every run for the first three quaters plus. The offense jsut let them down. Clarkson made some bad throws when he should have just thrown the ball away and ran the ball way to often. Whoever called for those, be it Gardi or Clarkson, should have known hes a slow white guy! :bang: But Huggens fumbe at the goal line. From where i was sitting i could not see what actully happen, if the ball crossed the plane or came out before he crossed. All I know is the D plaied well enough for the win veruse the #2 team.

I was there and he never crossed the plain. He started from the two and was hit hard at the line. Most of the turnovers were from the hard hitting defense. We may have loosened up the QB for you UMASS after we rang his bell a couple of times. I have to hand it to the QB. Most would never get up after he was hit so hard. He was slow to rise but stayed in the game.
