I would have to say that today it is Landers from JMU. He has done everything needed and asked of to put his team at the top. We have a lot of good QB's this year. Top tier QB's are JMU, Mass, Richmond, Villanova, William & Mary. My personal favorites are Orio of Northeastern and Shafer of Towson. Both are doing a great job with what they have to work with. There are others that making a good go of it, Cassidy is most improved while Delaware has a long way to go but I think if they hang in there with their QB next year will be better.

This is a joke right? I would say he is in the bottom 2 or 3 in the CAA. Your obviously basing this on passing yards...well he throws it 40 times a game. A nice win against Brown and all of a sudden you've got Montana behind center? Look at 11 TD's vs 7 INT's.

Numbers aside, I'd give the nod right now to Landers as top QB in the CAA...
His passing numbers are good...and he can run the ball...I mean RUN THE BALL...
Complete package...xnodx

I agree with Landers at the top, I'd go with something like this:
-Landers (JMU)
-Ward (Richmond)
-Coen (UMASS)
-Toman (UNH)
-Phillips (W&M)
-Whitney (Nova)
-Schaeffer (Towson)
-Cassidy (Rhody)
-Orio (NU)
-Farkes (Maine)
-Christopher (Hofstra)
-Schoenhhoft (Delaware) -what a difference a year makes.
So I ammend my earlier post, Cassidy is bottom 4 or 5 of the CAA (not in bottom 2 or 3)

I would say Cassidy is the most IMPROVED QB in the CAA but far from the best. Schaeffer (Towson) has great career numbers and I think we'll have our hands full when we face him on 10/11.

Just wanted to see the response.
He leads league in total offense.
Let's give him most improved.
There are a lot of really good QB's this year in CAA.

Haha, you honestly wouldn't trade some avg QB for Landers, Cohen or Shaeffer ? I guess now we know why URI is an irrelevant team in the CAA. These 3 previously mentioned QBs are viable NFL draft prospects keep in mind. And Landers is a front runner for the Walter P award. So if he can win the 1AA Heisman, i would HOPE he's better than the URI QB, haha.

Lander is an incredible runner and he threw a few great passes this past week. And i questioned his throwing, but his touch on several of his passes were perfect, right on the money.

Landers is a great player, but I wouldn't call him the best QB in the conference. The best runner, probably. But to be a QB you have to throw the ball more than 5 or 10 times a game.

i would say no since it took me reading the rest of the thread to know what team D. Cassidy played for.

Landers has 71 passes in 6 games = 11.83 passes per game, not 5-10. Or do they teach math at UR?

Landers is like a big Armanti from last year - he's got the running ability and showed us he has an arm also. Numbers aside, I'd say Landers is the best right now.
