Not sure how populated this thread will get, but I'm going to go ahead and start it.

Those coming to the game are welcome to stop by our tailgate (Hofstra and JMU fans alike). I owe Jmuslacker some turkey sausages, some chips and some charcoal.

Let me know though. Our tailgate will not be as populated as it was last week, so right now I'm not replenishing the beer supply.

Also, some of you App St. guys that bailed two weeks ago owe me a visit. F Homecoming and get up to the 'burg.

Finally, I've got two tickets if anybody needs some. You will have to sit by me and my in-laws.

Phew, this work week has been hell. We're implementing a new student management system and i haven't been able to keep up with the world of FCS football.

I wish i could take you up on the tix but a road trip just wasn't in the cards this week. As i posted on the CAA site, this game should probably see JMU as a 3TD favorite. Our O and D lines have been banged up and unimpressive to date. Unless Cohen really gives them the speech of a lifetime, i don't see us being able to contain the JMU running attack. On the flip side, our line has already let up a bunch of sacks and that scares me, i don't want to have to burn a redshirt on either one of our two freshman QB's playing backup.

Our keys to winning this game, ball control, don't let up the big play, play a disciplined game and don't get caught out of position. A few JMU turnovers or blunders sure would help! This will be a great baptism by fire for a lot of the younger guys, we'll test their mettle and see how they react.

I think that's because the Maine game came on the heels of a big W. JMU is past the trap game and should be focused. True nobody has given us a chance, including me...in the CAA you never know. But i think i would feel pretty good about JMU, we have way too many youngsters, injuries and question marks IMO. xsmhx

I was at the game. Best two plays were the interceptions returned for touchdowns. The one in the second half was a lineman who jumped up and brought the ball down and ran as fast as I've ever seen a lineman run about 40 yards for the TD.

I kept waiting for McGee to get a chance but Hofstra was having no part of that.

The Defense scored twice today and that's always special to see.

Landers had a great day running and passing and had a nice touch on his passes.
