Opening kickoff and someone is down, and down hard.

Andre Frazier, a back-up LB for Pittsburgh has been down for about 5 minutes now.

Gonna be a rough game for Flacco I think.

1st snap, Flacco fumbles and recovers. Calm down boy.

3 and out for Baltimore's first series.

Good hard throw on Third down for Flacco, but a good play by the Pittsburgh secondary to knock it down.

Pitssburgh's first drive ends in a 49 yard field goal.

Bleh. Rashad is running well, at least. One sack already on Ben.

Apparently Ben is colorblind to black/white.

Threw the ball right to a Baltimore lineman. The guy was so stunned he nearly dropped it.

Up until their first first down a minute ago, Baltimore had -6 total yards on the night. I expect the Steelers D to push Flacco around all night.

Jaws really likes Flacco and has been defending him against Tony's attacks.

looked too similar to the play that killed us (UNI) in the '05 championship game.

The Steelers smell blood in the water now and are going after Flacco. The OL needs to step up and give him more time.

Tony's funniest attack (kind of):

"He realized he's not playing Monmouth anymore."

A**hole Steelers. I needed them to win and keep the total under 40 to win a football pool. I hope the Ravens win, now.

I like Tony, but he sounds a little stupid with some of his comments regarding Flacco, Delaware and FCS. It's obvious that Tony is not familiar with FCS football. I'm glad Jaws is there to set him straight.

Looks like Flacco is going to have a chance to lead his team to a win.

With the current NFL overtime format why would you play for overtime? The Ravens need to go for the win.

It'd be cool if all three MNF announcers stopped talking at the same time xconfusedx

War of attrition now.

4th string HB is in. This is silly.

I think this is my favorite non Bear game of the year so far. Exactly how I like football to be.

and the 4th string HB makes some Ravens defenders look absolutely silly.

siuham
September 30th, 2008, 12:14 AM
...and makes up for it by not knowing what the play is. 4 yard loss, 53 yard field goal at this point. Blech.

my heart can't take many more of these last second win games. ugh

Totally agree with you, why teams "play for overtime " is beyond me.xconfusedx Take a chance with the final few seconds and throw it down field for a possible long gain setting up, a long field goal attempt with no time left. Playing for overtime is playing scared if you ask me..

siuham
September 30th, 2008, 02:00 AM
They definitely were scared, which is exactly the opposite of what they needed to show with a new QB. They basically just said "yeah, we don't trust you to not either get sacked and fumble or throw an interception."

Just so everyone is aware, Flacco's first TD was to Daniel Wilcox...a Mountaineer. How's that for a little irony? (He graduated a few years back, not a part of the championship run)

I like Jaws and Tirico, but Kornheiser should not do MNF games, he's like Dennis Miller up there. PTI fine, MNF no
