BisonBacker
September 29th, 2008, 05:33 PM
Still think the game if its necessary tomorrow should have been decided on who has the winning record between the two which would be Minnesota but instead a coin flip gives Chicago the home field advantage. xnonono2x

Detroit takes the lead on an error by Floyd. A little dribbler hit by Rayburn and what should have been an out is a wild throw and Rayburn gets to 2nd on the error and Detroit takes the lead. Go Tigers.
BisonBacker

3-0 to Griffey
BisonBacker
September 29th, 2008, 07:22 PM
Walks Griffey now bases loaded. Wild pitches and walks are really costing Detroit ( and the Twins) in this inning. New pitcher coming in.
BisonBacker
September 29th, 2008, 07:23 PM
Not a hit in this inning for the White sox and they have already scored one run and have the bases loaded. Unbelievable. Blover coming in to pitch now. Lets get a double play here.
BisonBacker
September 29th, 2008, 07:26 PM

Thunderstruck84
September 29th, 2008, 07:27 PM
I think the Twins can head to the airport now
BisonBacker
September 29th, 2008, 07:27 PM
6-2 now Chicago. Will check back later but this makes me sick. Of all people to give up a gopher ball and it was the first hit of the inning that's sickening.
BisonBacker
September 29th, 2008, 07:29 PM
Yeah MLB really has a F'd up system of determining where the game will be played. Should be based on who's won the most between the two teams not a fricken coin flip. Huge advantage for Chicago they don't deserve or have earned. If they had tied in the regular season I would say yea a coin flip is understandable but not when the Twins hold the series advantage in the regular season.
BisonBacker
September 29th, 2008, 07:31 PM
If they want to play that why don't they do it for the World Series then rather then using the All Star game as the determining factor? Stupid. I hope the Twins kick thier ass tomorrow.
BisonBacker
September 29th, 2008, 07:33 PM
All the runners Detroit left on the bases really look like they are going to cost them and the Twins.
BisonBacker
September 29th, 2008, 07:34 PM
Error on Chicago and Granderson gets on First. Now Sheffield is up to bat with a new pitcher (Dotel) coming into the game.
Thunderstruck84
September 29th, 2008, 07:36 PM
I like it better this way... now there can be no bickering and excuses between each side. I've seen fans from both teams saying that "we gave it away" and "the team we played was playing better than the team you played". Well tomorrow's your chance to get it back.
GO TWINS! xprayx

I have no problem with that but the game should be in Minnesota not Chicago based on Minnesota winning the Regular season series. Why a coin flip? Makes no sense unless the two teams had tied in the regular season.xsmhx

Huge advantage for Chicago given the way both teams play on the road.

I agree, seems kind of silly to have two teams play each other 18 times in the regular season and not have the head to head matchups count for anything.
Why can't they just do it like the other 3 leagues and say the head to head matchups are the tiebraker. xwhistlex
BisonBacker
September 29th, 2008, 07:48 PM
Well none of this would of even been necessary had the Twins won 2 out of 3 against Kansas City anyway. Twins haven't been their own best friend thats for sure.
BisonBacker
September 29th, 2008, 07:49 PM
Sox down 123 so top of the 8th coming up and Detroit running out of outs.
BisonBacker

Stop yer sniveling and get ready for the White Sox...if the Twins are truly better, they will win on Tuesday!!!
Maybe if you beat KC more than once on the final weekend, you wouldnt have to come back to Chicago!
