I actually thought the halftimes shows the past few years haven't been half bad at all.

Agreed. Can't complain about Tom Petty, Paul McCartney or the Stones.

Now that you mention it, there has been a major increase in the quality of acts, ever since Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake...xlolx

Tom Petty and Paul were good but I thought the Stones sucked.

The Boss is good - hopefully we will be able to hear what he's saying

He and I were at the URI vs. BC game last Saturday. Seriously, Bruce's son is a freshman at BC.

Oh, I guess I should mention that I sat in the end zone with the rest of the URI fans while Bruce sat in the president's box.

source BC website:

Rock star Bruce Springsteen, whose son is a freshman at BC, watched the game from the president's box. They played his hit "Glory Days" over the PA system when the NCAA champion hockey team was honored on the field at halftime.

Hopefully he'll come out and play instead of subjecting millions of people to his personal politics like he does in his shows. I don't care if he's a donk or conk, just play your songs!

Last 3 Bruce concerts I went to in the past 2 years he didn't say a single thing about his personal politics... xpeacex

Bruce rarely talks politics, or is pretty subtle about it, when he's performing -- unless it is specifically designated a political event.

I was at The Rising show at Fed Ex Field, and he did start in on Bush and started getting boos. Just saying.

He did it just before Born in the USA.

You must really be loving the guy now. His son is a freshman at a Catholic college.

If you don't have every Springsteen album there is I'm sure you soon will.

Not a big Bruce fan, plus Halftime is for taking a piss, restocking the food and drinks and preparing for the 2nd half...

Not a fan either, and I really don't want to see Bruce have a wardrobe malfunction :( - I usually tune in for the commercials since most of the time the hype for the game is overblown.

Good game last year though, great finish
