*Seems like new teams enter every year into Division I. Best of luck to everyone. To keep things efficient I will do the rest in separate thread that will have the Athlon Predictions on them. I want to keep things as efficient as possible.

The SLC surprises me a bit and for you WKU fan, FAU over WKU? That really going to happen?

Lets hear it for last place.

I do like the direction the coach is taking us though. I don't think we'll finish last this year. I hoping to finish in the middle of the pack.

WKU does lose a ton of points per game with Rogers, Brazleton, and Lee gone this year. It will definitely depend on Mendez-Valdez and Evans to step this year. Hopefully our coach does an amazing job and making marked improvement in our team.

The Sun Belt East was the better and deeper division last year with South Alabama, WKU, and Middle Tennessee getting the Top 3 spots in that order. MTSU was a dangerous at the end of the season. WKU was blazing in beating them to get to the Dance. South Alabama and MTSU does not lose as much power as WKU does. I am not surprised by the prediction. It is still going to be a great season for Toppers!

Athlon has WKU third in the division. I will post those shortly. :)

Don't worry Texas State your team is predicted higher in the Athlon Sports predictions. xthumbsupx

There are vast differences in prediction especially in the Big Sky and Big South. xeekx

As I said on Bobcatfans, I see you guys 4th in the SLC West...

Davalos and the Bobcats have not earned respect nationally. Your program has been down for some time. Kats got a bit more love than I think they deserve credit for because our head coach is respected in numerous circles and recent success OOC. I'll give Davalos credit, he's done a great job there, especially coming from where your program has been and outside of J.P Piper, who I respect more than any other coach in the conference, is one coach I'm definitely keeping an eye on.

Lindy's-Patriot League
1) American
2) Lehigh
3) Colgate
4) Navy
5) Bucknell
6) Holy Cross
7) Army
8) Lafayette

Interesting to see HC and Bucknell predicted that low. Rumor has it Kyle Roemer is out for the year with a knee injury, which would be a huge blow to Colgate's chances. AU makes sense as the favorite, but why Lehigh #2, I wonder xchinscratchx

Interesting that the WAC was listed as a "mid-major" and the Mountain West wasn't... xconfusedx

You and us both. No love. These magazine ranks are a friggin joke. There is no way in hell the Cats finish 8th. MSU and UM are top 3 teams in the Sky.

If you look at the Mid-Major Part II thread you are not going to feel much better. If you are a Grizzly fan maybe definitely not if you are a Bobcat fan. :(

It's the same shi* every year. Cats are picked in the bottom half and they finish in the top half. It's all a joke if you are doing these rankings and don't live in the state.

Agree on the job Davalos is doing but the SLC West is pretty strong with UTA, Sam and UTSA. Even with the SFA heading to the East and Lamar (who might not be as good as in the past couple of seasons) heading out west.
