21-14. USC is coming back. ( I am borrowing this from BlueHen86 ) Nothing like watching the Trojans penetrate deep into Beaver territory.

21-14 now. Looks like the Trojans got ticked off and have come out firing.

They were pretty chippy in the first half though. I was not impressed

anyone see those classless (literally, class doesn't start until Monday or something like that) OSU students getting on the field with over 2 and a half minutes left.

I love it when a team throws a monkey wrench into the BCS system and everyone's darling team like USC. I was hoping BYU and ECU would both go undefeated and screw it all up. BYU could still mess things up.

USC and Sanchez have been hyped all summer and glad to see them derailed.xnonox

Yeah, I noticed that.

And I noticed the ESPN guys didn't bash OSU's students like they did App's last year in the championship game. xsmhx

Also... I think I know where Western Carolina got their new logo:

I hope we can finally once and for all put this USC love fest to bed. They are an average team that plays in a weak conference. Same with the OSU. If ESPN annoints you as the chosen one you will be given every op to lose a game or two and still make the NC game. USC and OSU are not dead yet. IF the network wants them in the game they will be in the game.

All I can say is I loved seeing a defensive player carried off on the field on the shoulders of fans. How often does that happen?

I hope someone else can step up and we don't end up with another USC/OSU Sears Trophy game.

As long as mark may is still on the network it will continue to be a usc lovefest... and the thing that drives me crazy is that they will be ranked about 10 this week with plenty of time to sneak back into the title game... I hate the BCS system... it sux

I told everyone Penn State is for real. They stomped this Oregon State team into the ground. Most of the Nittany Lions starters barely played in the 2nd half. The Big 12 and SEC still have some very good teams, but I dontr think a team will come out of the SEC unscathed. If I had to guess I think Penn State will run the table in a poor big 10 and face Oklahoma or Missouri (who will will the Big 12 undeafeated) most likley Oklahoma. Can you say a rematch of the 1986 OB.

A co-worker and I were discussing the game... here are a few things we noticed about the game:

You could say that those beavers really tore through the Trojan D.

The beavers gobbled up the trojans

Looks like the beavers were on top of their game the whole night. They dominated the Trojans and left them battered and bruised.

The Beavers didn't let the Trojans penetrate their defense.

Amen. USC can now fade into the mid ranks of the BCS rankings so that somebody else who actually deserve the hype can get a little face time. USC vs. OSU was the most talked about game during the regular season I can ever remember. And lo and behold, it was a boring game because OSU is clearly overrated. And lo and behold, USC played OSU again (a different OSU) and they got spanked, because they are overrated. Case closed, now quit talking up USC Herbstreit.

Two years of playoffs and we would know real quick which teams were the real deal.

I think everyone would be surprised.

I think this was a case of U$C coming out sluggish and frankly, unprepared, the Beavers having a solid game plan against a very familiar conference opponent, and the Beaver defense stepping up and using their speed to keep the Trojan backs in tight spaces. Great game plan by Riley and his staff, the Trojans didn't come to play 4 quarters and they obviously didn't live up to the hype.

I loved how Carroll quoted that the Pacific 10 is such a tough conference after the game...uhhhhhh...either the Pac 10 has bi-polar disorder or you just lost a game you shouldn't have Petey...do the work, get the win, come in on reputation alone, suffer the consequences.

You don't at least think its odd that the ESPN/PAC-10 love machine doesn't bash these FBS teams and picks on a team in the FCS NC game?
Were the USC players able to control themselves that much better than the Delaware players?
Were the Oregon State fans not as close to the field?

All the App State haters accuse us of whining too much...if this were you're fans and you're school being called out by ESPN, you would have the exact same quesions. You can deny that all you like it is true.

No, the fans from MSU don't really give a crap what anyone says. We are used to criticism, because we sucked for so long. So if ESPN starts talking smack about us, GOOD! We get facetime on a major sports network!!!xthumbsupx

And for the record, ASU fans do whine alot. No all, but there are some that really just need to shutup and be grateful that their team is as good as they are. Enjoy success, because it is not a given.

I really enjoyed that game. USC is so soft and Pete Carroll is worthless in crunch time, he looked like the Captain of the Titanic all night with that bewildered look on his face the entire game.

Spot on Danny. He also has no balls - numerous 4th and shorts he could have taken a chance on and won the game in the second half. He should take some notes from LSU's coach.
