OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Terrell Hudgins, Elon, WR, Jr.

Hudgins notched season-highs in both receptions (13) and receiving yards (199) in Elon’s 22-20 Southern Conference victory at Georgia Southern, setting the SoCon career record for receptions (226) in the process. In addition, the junior’s seven-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter was the 29th of his career, topping Furman’s Chas Fox (1982-85) for the most career TD catches in league history.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Reggie Rice, The Citadel, LB, So.

Rice tallied 11 tackles, including six solo stops, as The Citadel held Princeton scoreless in the second half Saturday until the final 40 seconds of the game. The sophomore also recorded three quarterback hurries, one tackle for loss and a sack in addition to a special teams touchdown when he returned a blocked punt 25 yards for a score in the third quarter.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Quan Warley, Western Carolina, RB, RS-Fr.

The redshirt freshman tailback rushed for a league-best 200 yards on 29 carries in the Catamounts’ 23-21 come-from-behind win at Presbyterian Saturday. Warley also caught three passes for 17 yards, and his 200-yard effort was the first in the SoCon this season as well as the first for Western Carolina since 2000.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Andrew Wilcox, Elon, PK, Sr.

Wilcox matched his career high with a 5-for-5 field goal effort against Georgia Southern Saturday, including the game-winning 34-yarder that came with six seconds remaining and the Phoenix trailing by one. Wilcox was 1-for-1 on PAT attempts, and his five field goals vaulted him into the top 10 in SoCon history in career points scored by kicking, field goals attempted and field goals made.
