FUMBLED THE QB KEEPER ON THE 2! TEXAS STATE WINS!

That was an exciting game. Apparently I was the only one who watched it. :)

I saw the score and wondered what was going on. Too bad for UNC, a valiant effort nonetheless.

Good game to you Bobcats. This one is hard to stomach. Chesla's great catch on the two yard line and then Waggener fumbles the ball. xbawlingx xbawlingx

I think we've improved big time on just about every part of the game from last year. Our offense put up over 500 yards, but defense gave up a lot too. We're missing our top defensive lineman, and he may be forced to redshirt because of an injury, boy was he missed today.

Props to both qb's today. I was really impressed with those two.

I think the final pass to the 2 was a TD, it looked like he was tackled on top of the defender and rolled in, I don't think he was down.

Fun game to watch though.

Ugh. What a tough loss to take. Outside of about two plays, Waggener played awesome. Fourth most passing yards in a single game in UNC history. I'm trying to see the positives, but after a heartbreaker like that it's tough to do so.

At least we didn't lose by 30 to a D2!

Your QB is awesome. We had about 500 yards of offense against SMU. This game was an offensive shootout leaving defenses too tired.

Honestly, that's what I thought too. I was celebrating that td by Chesla.

I swear I saw Chesla land on the goal line. Not only that, I thought Waggener was in, too.

But that's Big Sky officiating for you, they missed a lot of calls today.

If it turns out to be true, than that is just Karma evening things out. Just a reminder that TxSt WR Morris Crosby scored a TD in the 2006 TxSt/UNC game that was called back, Cats ended up losing by a couple pts. Video evidence surfaced the following Monday showing it was a TD.

GL for the rest of the season Bearfans...I hope you show the Big Sky that you guys are much improved over previous seasons.

Nah. Big Sky refs just suck. Ask a fan of any Big Sky team, they're terrible. They missed a lot of calls going both ways today.

Both teams played well today. Texas State's was well earned and deserved. Now go tear up the SLC.

Great Effort Bears! The bears seems to be moving in the right direction! You have been in every game in this preseason and have represented the BSC well! Not a bottom feader anymore and I believe the NCBears may play a big roll on the outcome of the conference champ!

And I am sure there is video evidence saying that was not a fumble at the goal line. Guess it goes both ways...that fumble was hard to tell if it was a fumble. Also got that pass that set up that goal line chance -- did the UNC player roll over the body of another player into the end zone? Or was he down?

Just going by what I could barely see (and Lord knows none of us saw the ball on that video!) and what the UNC broadcasters were saying...video may show what I stated. No telling... xconfusedx

From what I remember Chesla rolled over on the defender and put the ball on the goal line, which should have counted. That's just what I remember seeing (I was pretty close to the action), video may prove other wise.

Sounds like each team got a win on the road in the two-game home-and-home by virtue of the ref not having the advantage of an instant replay which would have proved them wrong...

I was there, I won't complain though, it was too close to say but yeah it never should have come to that but once again mistakes cost us. You have 6 tourn overs you shouldn't even be in the game also if you can't even cover a kick off without being offsides or if your kicker can't kick it deeper than the 12 on a kick off... field position, mistakes, penalties... We actually have a few talented players but mentally we have no idea what it takes to win.

I've seen a very clear photo from a good angle of Chesla's catch, and he wasn't in the end zone. He was down on the half yard line. Now, with Waggener's play, I can't say...

I was sitting on the goal line and neither looked to be in. Very close though. Chesla was closer though from what I could tell.

Yeah they did. Missed some penalties and such. But bad calls went both ways so it evened out.

Even f there wasn't a fumble he didn't cross the goal line. There wasn't enough time left on the clock for the Bears to get reset and run another play. I thought it was a bad paly call since they had no timeouts.

The coaches wanted him to spike it, but in the chaos of it all, he got crossed up.
