Good game by UND, especially if you consider they had a short week and ISU was coming off a bye. I have to give it to ISU for their never say die attitude. Made a great game of what could have been a blow out. Down 31-7 and only losing 38-35.

It will be nice to have 10 plus days before our next game. Our depth on defense is lacking this season and it showed today playing on four days rest at altitude. Anyways it's always good to get a W. Bring on Southeastern Louisiana.

I wasn't sure what to expect in this game. We had been testing ourselves against lower level competition, they had done that against higher competition. We were coming in on a VERY short week, they had almost 2 weeks to prepare. Add in the elevation and I was worried about the guys making it through the game. The team had meetings last saturday after their game and began preparation for this game within just minutes of finishing the last game. They practiced Sun, Mon and Tues and spent Wednesday traveling.

Well it looks kind of like that is what happened. We really slowed down there after the first drive of the 3rd. But overall we played through it and got the Victory! Thankfully we now have a few extra days to heal up the players that were hurt during the game. I am sure all of the guys are tired after this week and game.

Great first DI win to build on. Now it's on to SE Louisianna! xthumbsupx

Whos to say how good ISU is at 0-3? UND is evenly matched and escaped with a win. It took a while for ISU to wake up. Once they did they controlled the game.

Whos strength of schedule went up Slo-Stang?

For me its just another GWFC win over the BSC. Not a Montana but a good foundation to build on for a transition team.

I dont disparage the win. Its just not that impressive. UND fans are quick to remind anyone that reads their board that the FCS isnt a step up from D2. I wonder if ISU is better than GVSU? Both teams gave UND great games.
