great looking atmosphere! No matter how big KBS gets, I'll still have a little bit of jealousy for the Montana atmosphere.

One thing that is so imposing playing at Wash./Griz Stadium is that the fans are on top of the visiting team. Very little room on the sidelines. The sound bounce around the stadium and it gets so loud that you can not talk to the person that is next to you. Great stadium.

Slash is the local Missoula hockey teams mascot.

It seems that the powers that be think more mascots on the field are needed to take the heat off how bad our OC is. I can't wait for Bugs and the tooth fairy to show up soon, ***** why even have a football game with all the mascots we can get into our expanded stadium?

Maybe people would pay just to see them?

Sheesh, what an awesome thing you guys have in Montana. Never been there, but I'd love to go one day. I hear nothing but good things about Montana fans. (Well, maybe there is one exception--you know who I'm talking about.) The scenery must be spectacular. They're Blue Ridge Mountains on steroids.

It's really too bad it's not like that at more colleges. Montana gets people to drive from 3, 4, 5 hours away for their games. Ball State can't even get people in their own community (Muncie, IN) to come to the games. Major town-gown problems there. (I know, I know--Ball State's not FCS, but it's where I'm in school now.)

It's amazing that Montanan's travel so well. The people that sit next to my parents are from Billings, and they know people who travel from Scobey. Those are amazing distances to a game. It's the biggest show in the state!

Hey Ebenizeer:

This isn't the first time I've seen you post a message offering to show someone how to cheat your way into a Griz game. Dude! Have you no integrity whatsoever?

Whether you realize it or not part of being a fan and "supporter" of a program is paying the legitimate price of admission.

At the very least keep your criminal activity to yourself.

Man, it takes all types.xnonox

I was talking about a guest pass. lol. I am not one for illegal types. And I am an avid supporter of the Griz and have no intention of cheating them. But since I pay a hefty tuition (or rather the financial aid does), I figure i would give a little. xpeacex

I also pay the UM tuition (my sons) but also have to pay $40.00 for a ticket for him to see the game tomorrow because he can't get a student ticket because other students are buying them and selling them for $10.00 (or whatever they can scalp them for) and giving them to whomever they wish.xeyebrowx

Something tells me these students are also the ones that opposed a small increase in athletic fees in exchange for an additional 2000 seats. As a result, the next soon to be needed expansion of 2000 seats will cost much more than it would have cost if they had included in the current expansion.
Who do you think will inevitably pay for this additional cost?

Perhaps you can understand why statements like yours raises my ire a bit.

In past years, I agree with you on this. However, go checkout EGRIZ.com there is a thread there as to how they are making this more difficult. From the posts I have read the students are saying that getting around it is very difficult.

Besides almost any game you can find scalped tickets for cost right before kickoff.

The new card swipe/wrist band policy has made it so students who even though they have to pay full price for a ticket (see above) cannot sit in the student section because the new policy has effectively made it reserved seating rather than the general admission that it had always previously been.

Ummm....I get up at 6am on Mondays to go stand in a long line to get my student ticket. And for a guest pass I have to go extrememly early cuz there are only 400 of those. So the fact that students scalp is not my problem, I was just offering.

1. You can't scalp student tickets anymore. They're loaded onto your griz card, and taken off of it when you enter the stadium, electronically.

2. If your son(s) got there early enough, they could buy a guest pass for 10 dollars and you could use it. It has nothing to do with scalping.

He was trying to be a good host. If it was all about him he would sell it for more than the $10 that it cost him.

If your son wants to get in for less than $40 tell him to wake up a little earlier and stand in line like Grizaholic17 does. Or is your son being a typical adolescent and is too lazy to get up as early as GH17 because he knows that daddy will buy him a ticket? I not saying.......I just saying.
