The Old Ball Coach is back in form. Great win for the Gamecocks 16-15 at UT.

I bet the 'Bama fans feel like X-Mas has come early. The Tide is undefeated & Tennesse is awful.

The best part about it is that Tennessee has absolutely NO votes in the AP poll and only 3 votes in the coaches poll.

Randy Sanders will resign as the Volunteers' offensive coordinator, ESPN's Joe Schad reported Monday.
Coach Phil Fulmer will take over the play-calling responsibilities for the remainder of the season.
A source within the Tenneesee football program told The Nashville Tennessean on Sunday that Fulmer and Sanders had been engaged in discussions focused on Sanders resigning as coordinator.

How could any team expect success when they look like oversized Creamsicles?? Also, Rocky Top is one of the most annoying fight songs ever written. I can't stand UT-Knoxville!

I thought Johnny Majors left Knoxville due to health reasons?

Nope. I was at that game 10-31-92. It was the most exciting game I had seen until the CCU win over JMU. What happened, and this is hearsay from the UT boards, Fat Phil stabbed Majors in the back once they returned to campus. All I know is that he was gone six days later.

In 1992, Majors had heart surgery during the season. UT then decided to replace him with Phil Fulmer and forced him to "retire." A down-trodden Pitt program quickly jumped at the opportunity to hire the man who led them to the National Championship 16 years earlier. What Pitt found out was that Majors couldn't crawl out of the bottle long enough to coach, so that's why his teams were just awful.
It's no easy to trick to take over a program from Paul Hackett and run it even further into the ground, but Majors managed to do that from '93-'96. I always wondered if his drinking was why UT was so quick to replace him when the were given the chance.
