Astros hitter swung at a pitch in the right handed batters box. Good plate discipline.

He got it! Despite Bodoyle's valiant jinx effort, Zambrano pitched a no hitter tonight against Houston.

Nice no-hitter for the big Z xsmileyclapx xsmileyclapx

He needed a boat oar to hit that pitch. it would have been behind a right handed batter.

Gotta luv MLB. Let's play a home game for Houston 90 miles north of the piss barn. xnonono2x

I agree...this no-hitter is a shared no-hitter with Bud Selig and MLB. Zambrano did not earn this one by himself.

The game was not on the national WGN feed, as was on the Rangers/Athletics Extra Innings feed; when this cut out, we lost our video of the game. Luckily, my buddy paid for the mlb.com audio package.

the scrubs should have to play one of their home games against the cards in Kansas City.

Umm, where else were they going to play this game? xeyebrowx

Here's what you missed...a pitch that would have been behind a right handed batter that the Astros guy swung at.

St Louis, Kansas City, Florida, Atlanta, Cincy, wait til the end of the season and then play it in Houston?

Tampa. So the Astros could make the short trek to play the Marlins next...

They shouldn't of played in Wrigley West -- sure, the Astros owner got more bang for his buck and cashed in playing at Miller Park, but seriously!

Fixed it for you.

And there was nothing stopping MLB from just not making it up until the end of the regular season. My White Sox did that. We got about 8-10" of rain this weekend and are playing a double header tonight against Detroit. The first game isn't being made up unless it is necessary after the regular season - if so, then Detroit comes here for one game. But you can't inconvenience the Lovable Losers and the yuppies who follow them xcoffeex

And your white sox just blew a 5 run lead in the 8th. That was good to watch.

Sorry you can't be happy for someone throwing a no hitter, regardless of where it is. Make all the excuses you want, but he still threw the no hitter.

I threw a perfect game in little league long ago and it only happened because the last batter swung at a ball over his head. My problem? Nope. Part of the game.

Get over yourself. If you want to blame someone, blame God for making the hurricane hit Houston.

We won 11-7.

I'm not blaming the scrubs, I'm blaming MLB and Sellout Selig. It was a joke. If that happened to the Sox, I wouldn't be mad at the Sox or whoever threw the no-no. I would be pissed at MLB/Sellout Selig.

I'm not mad at El Loco either. He's fun to watch. The scrubs are nothing more then a passing thought. Since 2005 we haven't given two *****$ about them. We have bigger fish to fry. Let them get all the headlines and let ESPN make fun of Santo every morning, I don't mind. I did, however, laugh my ass off when I was at the World Series parade, and there were scrub fans there. I asked a few why the hell they were there? They said, "because we know we'll never win one, and it's a reason to take a day off work and get drunk." Typical. xcoffeex

Didn't take long to bring God into this. Great irrelevant point.

Well Bodoyle, gotta hand it to you, I've never seen a White Sox fan so bitter about not getting attention from the sports nation. And I got to a school that was rioting when the White Sox won the series in 05. I've seen people harsh towards another team, all in good taste, but sheesh, you're on another level entirely. I don't want to know what Cubs fan shat on your legos when you were five but I bet it was quite the spectacle to behold.

And I wasn't bringing in God to bring in some sort of religious all powerful reason to blame or anything, it's just as true and responsible as Selig. I almost said mother nature but I figured it'd be an easier focus.

It was an impressive outing no matter how you look at it, regardless of the circumstances.
