Furman vs. Delaware
and
ASU vs. JMU

I think that's it....least off the top of my head.

Would be pretty cool - for fans of both conferences do it once a year or every other year - games like the ACC/Big Ten Challenge in basketball.

Easy travel for most schools...same regions - not too costly.

Just something I've been thinking about. Figured I'd share.

Ugh i'm so stoked about this game

But yea we should have a conference battle every year. I mean they are the only relevant conferences. Haha

I agree. I really like the idea of a CAA v SoCon sort of challenge.

Some possible matchups based on school size/athletic history:

JMU - ASU
Nova - Wofford
UR - Elon
UD - GSU
W&M - Citadel
Towson - Samford
UMass - GSU
URI - WCU
Northeastern - UTC

There was one non-AppSt game in there. UR > WC

Do we have to play both of those on the same day?

I'm sure our purple friends from Greenville will appreciate being left out of the party, it's not like they are the longest standing member of the conference (along with The Citadel) or anything.xnonox

I think he meant UMass v. Furman...he listed GSU twice.

Delaware has already (or is in progress) done series with Georgia Southern, Furman, and The Citadel. I'd like to get App State next, then maybe the rest of the SoCon at a later date.

We played at UD the night they dedicated the field to Coach Raymond (Keeler's first game IIRC) the Thursday before Labor Day in 2002. It was a GREAT game and we had a heckuva time tailgating with the UD folks and then later at Klondyke Kates.

I'd go again in a second.

GSU fans were not happy about losing to a team they had beaten 38-7 the year before. Then when we lost to Wofford two weeks after that, people were ready to throw Sewak to the wolves. It was still a good game.

Yeah the 3 best from the CAA vs the one best from the SoCon.
