They haven't played each other since 1990 (even counting bowl games). They have played each other 21 times (1/3 of those Rose Bowl matches).

USC covers
tOSU needed Wells. They looked really out of sorts against Ohio. They aren't quite as overrated as everyone says they are, but I think USC is that good

Everybody knew that OSU wasn't near good enough to beat USC without Wells, and even WITH Wells. I'm pretty damn sick of hearing about this game every time I turn on my radio, so it'll be nice to have this thing over and for everybody finally acknowledge that OSU is OVERRATED and plays in an OVERRATED conference.

I'm sure Ohio St. will be ranked in the top 5 when the FBS polls come out. OSU has ESPN in it's hip pocket and they will probably be calling for a rematch for the Nat'l title game. OSU has always been overrated. They play in a weak conference and whenever they play a legitimate team they get embarrassed.
But I tell you...You gotta love those USC cheerleaders.

Jim Tressel's career seems to following the same path as Bob Stoops. Both took over proud programs that had been struggling, led them to a national title in their second year and have failed in every big game since.

Rejoicing has started in college football. Praying that Ohio State drops far enough so that they have NO chance for that Top 2. That got blown to smithereens by a far superior opponent. Despite Wells not being in the lineup, it would not make much difference in the score.

I know there is some sarcasm in your post, but OSU has no chance of remaining in the top 5. After coming in @ 5 and getting destroyed, Missouri will clearly jump them.

You should read the Columbus dispatch this morning. The sports writers have FINALLY comes to the conclusion that OSU may really not be that good when they have to play someone outside of the big 10...or 11 or however may teams they have now.

The big question is do the voters believe that anyone can be within 30 at USC? I think they drop down to 9 or 10 because USC has 2 insane wins over BCS schools (the other not that great but still BCS). Gotta be impressed with USC's out of conference schedule - at UVA, Ohio State, Notre Dame. Are there any other BCS schools that schedule 3 other BCS schools (gotta consider Notre Dame BCS equivalent) out of conference?
My top 10 after this week
USC
Oklahoma
Florida
Georgia
Missouri
LSU
Texas
Wisconsin
BYU
Ohio State

I hope OSU drops down....far.
If they are in the 10-15 range they have an outside chance to get back to the NC...which is ridiculous.
The reasoning? Florida, Georgia, LSU are going to be the crap out of each other. That's not including - Bama, Auburn, UT, and so on. If each lose, that gives OSU a chance to move up.
Missouri doesn't have to play Texas or Oklahoma - atleast in the regular season. In the title game they could fall.....there's more spots.
Then you have Wisconsin who could be OSU. But with Wells back...they should be better than last night.
Hopefully nothing absurd will happen and teams will stay ahead of OSU. If the NC has a USC/OSU rematch - I'm not watching. Last night was too much of a joke.

Well thought out. The way that voters are voting most times Two Top 10 teams won't drop very far unless one of them gets blown out. Case in point USC 35 Ohio State 3. SEC has 4 teams in the Top 10. If those teams are competitive against each other, then they shouldn't drop far at all.
Ohio State doesn't deserve to be in the national championship game. If they lose a 2nd game then Buckeyes championship run is vanquished. LSU won the national championship by losing to Kentucky and Arkansas so anything can happen.

The BIG TEN in no way compares with the SEC, thats why they won't drop that far, the Pac-10 looks fairly strong Oregons Juco RB looks solid.
but then again look what BYU did to UCLA WOW

Is that the same pac-10 that has Ariz. St. who just happened to lose to UNLV. The Pac-10 has USC and nobody else. I agree with the person that siad you better watch Penn St. Wisconsin almost blew it at Fresno St. last night. LSU and Florida should probably play ion the NC game but that won't happen.

Finally.......Another over-hyped and non-competitive game is behind us.
