Saw it myself after the game. Portland does know about Montana, their team and their school. Back when the Ducks and Beavers were following the rest of the Pac-10 in overrecruiting the LA area, Don Read was laying the foundation of the Grizzly success with Oregon players, as he had done with Portland State before then. Some of the Portland media that made the trip to Missoula were remarking favorably on the game aspect at Wash-Griz. Definitely a top notch venue.
Also enjoyed coach Walsh's memorable moment at Missoula that appears in the story as well. Shows that not only does Montana boast one of the top venues in the NW (I-A and I-AA), but they also have some of the classy fans in the country as well.

Walsh should know -- he's one of the most experienced and well respected coaches in the Big Sky.
