ECU vs Wake would be a great match up at a neutral site but so far the Pirates have won against better competition so they get the edge for the #1 spot followed by Wake, UNC, App State, Elon, Duke, NC State, and Western Carolina. I would have had App State at #3 but UNC's performance lastnight was worthy of attention and I think Butch Davis and his staff have finally gotten his players to buy into the system.

This was my first post so apologies for the functionality of the poll. I intended to set it up as a ranking and not a single vote. I'd like to think that the top two or three teams will remain on top throughout the season, however, as you're well aware FCS are capable of big upsets and the SoCon reps on this list could move up higher ahead of doormats Duke and NC State.

I imagine that it is a chance for us to not vote for App St as the best at something while cleverly still having the option to vote for App St. xnodx

1) Appalachian State has three national championships under its belt.
2) Wake Forest has won an ACC championship recently.
3) East Carolina is BCS party crasher if the trend continues, if they have to play Tulsa then it will be their toughest competition in the conference.
4) North Carolina & Elon are on the rise.
Those would be my top 5 right now, not necessarily in that order.
My Top 5
1) East Carolina
Tie 2) Wake Forest/Appalachian State
4) North Carolina
5) Elon
