I'm simply beating Ken_Z to the punch here, but I was curious: could you make a conference of all the teams the Patriot League has rejected as being "not Patriot League enough"?
Call it the NPL:
Northeastern
Marist
Hofstra
Duquesne
I'm sure there are others?

Does it solely have to be schools rejected by the League?
Could it also include schools that rejected us?
That would at least add:
Davidson
Richmond
William & Mary

When Albany (and possibly Stony Brook) first moved to Div. I and were looking for a conference they had some discussions with the PL but I don't know how far they got - not very, I suspect.

Interesting. Think they'd restart football with our new league? :D
