so a lot of change is occuring at URI the coach, the program hopefully turning around. The new scoreboard. The new stands.... and new uniforms.


I love the helmet until I saw it with these uniforms

you said UNC put on the UNC/Rutgers game and they are identical to Rutgers basically except in Blue and White instead of Red and White

I have to say I like little old Mead Stadium, especially since the stands have been incorporated so nicely into the side of the Ryan Center. I wish UR was playing there again this year, I had a fun time in 2006.

Anyway it's a "tradition" and URI sports is stuck with it. All their teams wear it.

Just think what would have happened to UMass if our previous AD's scheme to change our nickname to "The Gray wolves" went through.

Our proposed colors: white and gray. Bleah.

the RI design is by far the best, it is a great logo used by both RIC and URI and I wish they used it more than just as a secondary. I actually had to buy a URI baseball cap because I love the interlocking RI helmet.

I think the new stands were completed for the 2006 Season, so this is the 3rd year they have been in use. They were definitely there in 2006 for the UR-URI game.

I like the uni's overall. After seeing the away jerseys in person, though, I have to say that the numbers need to be outlined in black to make them stand out more. It was very difficult to see the numbers on the jerseys from the stands b/c the light blue was so faint. And, 'yes', I have 20/20 for anyone who is wondering if that was the problem.

I lilke the helmets but not crazy about the all blue. Seems like Hofstra and URI could use a touch of that, "what not to wear".

Should be interesting to see what HU comes out in today. With their new blue hats, they could also go all blue, very interesting.

a lot of teams even in FBS have gone with the solid and plain uniforms. I just don't like them. I am not a fan over overpiping, but the plain uniforms are just boring and ugly for the most part.

Those all blues reminded me too much of UNC - and I hated the solid blue they used.

I'm glad they added the blue strip to their pants this year. And I really liked their look Thursday.

Yes, that is a nice feature. If you want, you can watch the game from inside the Ryan Center. The ceiling to floor windows work nicely for that. I always sit in my seat though, since it is right on the 50.

that was about 3 years ago, but since then they have been spot on. Come to a game at Bryant you will see how filled up it gets :D. Plus it was homecoming today so there was a bunch of stuff going on today.
