Because you guys are hogging up all the time on ESPN -- the national media has not even noticed the hottest team in baseball -- the Houston Astros.

Winners of 13 of 14 and 32 of 43, the Astros are 46-27 since dumping Shawn Chacon. We don't need the publicity, we just need our guys focusing on doing what they do best -- WIN.

Only team ahead of us now is the Brewers. We're tied with the Phillies. Four game Brewers-Phillies series this weekend. Astros going for four-game sweep against Pirates tonight. Cubs this weekend in a HUGE series.

Let's make it happen!

Milwaukee Brewers (13) 83 63 -- 16
Philadelphia Phillies 79 67 4.0 16
Houston Astros 79 67 4.0 16
St. Louis Cardinals 78 67 4.5 17

TT: you are not on the East Coast, thus ESPN doesn't acknowledge your existence.

Don't forget the Toronto Blue Jays... they've got a 4 game series against "the Sooooox" this weekend (so every game should be on ESPN) and Boston could go from having the division lead in hand to fighting for the wild card again.

If francona was a better manager we would be up 1.5 games on TB instead of 2.5 back....

10th inning last nite Pedroia on second, Ortiz on first I dont care who you are, Youkilis shoulda been sacraficing.

Night before Kotsay leads off with a walk, 2 outs later Francona decides to pinch run Ellsbury who then steals second and takes third on error, inning ends with him on 3rd. Had they done this with 0 outs, he scores on a sac fly.

c'moff it. they had the bases loaded and nobody out... Yook and Bay both biffed it.

a manager cannot swing the bats... a manager didn't groove one to Carlos Pena in the top of the 13th either (my fantasy team thanks you by the way :))

The game shouldn't have gotten to the 14th inning last nite.

And thats Francona's fault HOW?? xconfusedx

geez Boston, you get a whiff of success and now nothing is good enough for you. Red Sox (2004, 2007) Patriots (2001,2002,2004) Celtics (2007). That manager who "should be better" won 2 WS, thats 2 more than in the 80 some-odd years before he came to Beantown.

Dayyyyyum, when did they come from??! LOL Good lord, nice job Astros. Tough tough division also.

I just figured they were right above the Pirates in the standings.

Its not what have ya done for me, its what are you doing for me. Even after lasty years WS win I wanted Francona fired. He makes some very very stupid decisions.

The guys at ESPN ARE off their rockers. Not only are they missing the Astros run, but they have North Carolina vs. Rutgers on tonite, instead of Colorado vs. West Virginia.xeyebrowx

to be fair... a year ago, if you had asked me... "which game would be better...?"

I'd have made the case for Rutgers/NC... the Heels were looking better with Butch Davis and Rutgers is a program on the rise... added to that, the fan base of UNC is national (yes, mostly for hoops i know)... added to that those two markets are much bigger (Rutgers draws NYC and Philly, and UNC gets Raleigh and some Charlotte vs. Denver (big, yes) and any of the small WV markets)

Yes, I agree with the above BUT:

ESPN doesn't even have WVU at CU on their schedule, at all. They normally list all college football games regardless of whether or not they are on TV.

I was gonna say that I definitely would've heard about CU-West Virginia a lot more if it was tonight.

Then again, what else do i expect from an MSU fan?xconfusedx

The one I'll always remember between the Bison and Bears was in '97 at Nottingham. One we lost, ironically, because our damn quarterback couldn't execute a ****ing QB sneak!

I'm with you on Boston fans. Like NY fans about 10 years ago.

Astros and Phillies beat Pirates and Brewers, respectively.

Both teams are three games back of the Brewers, while the Phillies are also three back of the Mets (NL East chase)...

Astros will have to wait til Sunday, not sure if that's a good thing or not...may cool them off some. They'll have to respond when they get back out there...hopefully the Brewers lose a few before then.
