Pick your winners. My picks are in bold:
SIU @ Northwestern (homer pick)
NDSU @ Wyoming (The Bison strengthen their case for #1)
WIU @ SDSU (I'm sold on the Rabbits after last week)
Indiana State @ Eastern Illinois (Sycamores fall again)
MSU @ Oklahoma State (Points out need for a mercy rule)
Ill State @ Murray State (Valley continues to beat OVC teams)

Looks right to me. NDSU will probably beat Wyoming, But I hold a soft spot for the cowboys because of that darn Joe Glenn. Best of luck to him and his career.

Pick your winners. My picks are in bold:
SIU @ Northwestern IMHO Salukis need more time to beat even this low Big 10.
NDSU @ Wyoming (The Bison strengthen their case for #1)
WIU @ SDSU (I'm sold on the Rabbits after last week, but WIU is unproven quantity that will be tough. This shouldn't be like the YSU game.)
Indiana State @ Eastern Illinois (Sycamores fall again)
MSU @ Oklahoma State (Points out need for a mercy rule)
Ill State @ Murray State (Valley continues to beat OVC teams)
Thanks for starting this Skinny!

I'd love to see SIU beat Northwestern! You guys have done it before!
I'm rooting for NDSU over Wyoming, but I'm not sure I can handle the cockiness some Bison fans will have after that happens...
Overall, I hope all the MVC teams do well.

SIU @ Northwestern (As much as I want to see SIU win, Northwestern will have to much offense for SIU this year)
NDSU @ Wyoming (NDSU big in this one)
WIU @ SDSU (late 4th quarter FG seals this one)
Indiana State @ Eastern Illinois(ugly)
MSU @ Oklahoma State(Close for 3 quarters)
Illinois State @ Murray State (great game between two average teams)

Northwestern (some underrated wide-outs for the Wildcats will hurt us)
NDSU (I'll say by 2 scores)
WIU (Donaldson has a big day)
EIU (back to tailgating at half-time)
OK State (I would put the spread at -23.5)
IL State (Racers make a come back in the 4th, but its not enough)

If Minett can match Donaldson in production Saturday, then I think SDSU can take WIU. I think Minett is under-rated in the MVFC. Last week Kyle Minett had 124 yds rushing on 14 attempts and 65 yds receiving on 6 catches. It will be interest to see how he does against WIU. Should be a good game.

Last year we took WIU to 4 OTs in Macomb. The big problem was shaky play for us at the QB position. Ryan Berry improved through the season last year and finished with 2:1 TD to interception ratio after a rough start at WIU. Rough start this year, at Iowa State but last week he carved up YSU for 300 yards-plus. Minett will get his 20 touches and will average 8 yards a touch. Donaldson is a stud, and QB Barr gave us trouble as a sub last year. But our defense is the strength of the team this year. YSU managed just 200 yards against us, 70+ of that in their only successful drive. Look for these names on SDSU's defense: Batten, Schroeder, Fisher, Rogers, and Campbell.
This year WIU has a big advantage in the placekicking game. Our stud kicker, Parker Douglass, graduated and we have a sophomore Pete Reifenrath (great kid, solid from 35 yards in) replacing him.
It's going to be a great game and everybody here has great respect for WIU.

SIU @ Northwestern - I'm a pessimist. And I like to be wrong.
NDSU @ Wyoming - Good showing for NDSU here. #1 incoming.
WIU @ SDSU - Both teams are good. Homefield advantage.
Indiana State @ Eastern Illinois - EIU is done getting their asses handed to them by FBS schools, they'll roll over InSU
MSU @ Oklahoma State - Speaking of asses handed to them...Halftime score of 45-0 to be expected.
Illinois State @ Murray State - Murray State is the proverbial whipping boy for all things Missouri Valley.

I knew you beat Indiana before, 34-28, right? I must be thinking of when New Hampshire beat Northwestern. Either way, I have no doubt SIU has the talent to knock them off.

SIU @ Northwestern - I soooo want to be a Missouri Valley homer and pick SIU even though I think NW has the big time advantage, but I can't do it because NW is going to win this one. xsmhx
NDSU @ Wyoming - NDSU in a game way closer than it should have been. If someone would have told me a few years ago people would be picking Wyoming "in an upset" I would have thought they were delusional, but that may be what it is if Wyo wins. Joe Glenn is already on his way out according to many Wyo faithful.
WIU @ SDSU - close game last year and WIU returns a lot more starters than SDSU. Will that translate to a win at CAS? WIU must play a flawless game in order to come out victorious. At this point I think WIU is more consistent so that is the team I am going with.
Indiana State @ Eastern Illinois - Some day Sycamores, some day.
MSU @ Oklahoma State - deetadee xwhistlex
Illinois State @ Murray State - this will be a very close matchup but the Valley teams pulls out a win, or so this author hopes.

Those games may have been the same weekend. It's OK. Some days I couldn't tell you what I had for breakfast. By the way, it was 35-28. Don't shortchange us.

SIU @ Northwestern (Rain will keep it close, NU by a fieldgoal) :(
NDSU @ Wyoming (#1 FCS) xthumbsupx
WIU @ SDSU (After the Arkansas game, I'm convinced, had I not seen that game, I'd pick SDSU at home with my eyes closed. I think WIU's the real deal this year. Good think we play them at home this year.) (I know, the same thing could be said about SDSU handing YSU their asses, but Arkansas??? Come on. That was a hell of a performance) xnodx
Indiana State @ Eastern Illinois xrolleyesx
MSU @ Oklahoma State xrolleyesx
