Hamels just downright stunk tonight so dreams of a sweep over the Mutts dissipate...However, taking 2 of 3 was pretty good. Phils could have left town 6 GB if they had been swept, or 4 back if lost 2/3..so With 19 games to play, it will be a sprint. Most bothersome is Burrell's funk continues..batting .180 for the past month.

The Phils just plain blew it against New York this year. Considering they're always going to lose most of their inter-league games, they have to play their division rivals better. Had they split their season series with the Mets, they'd be up 2 games instead of down by 2!
