I understand Oregon State isnt a great team but they are up 28-0 early in the 2nd quarter. Defense looks fast and agressive. Darryl Clark is Michael Robinson all over again running a spread type offense. The new RB Royster is fast and good. With arch nemesis Michigan being medicore this year Penn State can win the Big 10- or perhaps be a 1 loss type season.

I was surprised by the score margin and dominance PSU showed today. Granted OSU is not a 'great' team, but they aren't 'chopped liver' either.
Penn State has an opportunity to have a great season. The next few games should provide them with a lot of momentum going into the meat of the schedule in mid-October.

I wanna say PSU is back, but I'll wait for the Illinois game.

I agree, but Illinois hasnt been all that impressive this far. Michigan is down, Illiinois has major questions on D, Wisconson is solid but not spectacular. Also Galen Hall is a better cordinator and the Penn State O is so much better with a mobile QB. They were spreading the field, getting the ball to the WR's and breaking some big runs. They have a D-line that can apply tremendous pressue-- I like what they are doing. Based of their schedule they can have a very good year.

Please...Oregon St. has been a great team in the past and is probably pretty decent this year, but look to their first game. They lost to Stanford (who is building their program) but hasn't been any good for several years. Nonetheless, big win by Penn St.

So what you're saying is...Big 10=Ohio State and Penn State?

Doesn't matter how average Michigan is, Joe Pa will crap his depends when he looks across the field & gets a look at that glorious winged helmet. Go Blue!

I think it'll come down to PSU, Wisconsin, and Ohio State. Those 3 seem head and shoulders above everyone else in the league.

No-- just some of the other traditional contenders seem to be vulnerable this year. Yes Penn State always has trouble with Michigan but they have some work to do.

Illinois will be in the mix as well...
