Any word on what the attendance is? Could it set another record?

I thought I'd throw this out there: Last night, at my current school (Ball State), they set the fourth-highest attendance mark--with less than 23,000! And that was against an opponent (Navy) that should be a much better draw. Just imagine the attendance if ASU had a marquee opponent at KBS!

Anyway, I sure wish I was at the game today. The atmosphere has got to be electric. GO APPS!

he only played the 1st quarter (Moore & Welton had long TD runs), 5 minutes in 2nd quarter (another long TD run) and 1st 2 series of 3rd quarter (of which we had TD runs). Don't think we really needed him to do much except hand it off to our RB's. Passing is VERY much of a concern at this point though....

It's a game where there's real no pressure on ASU....a game to get back on track. Let the new guys get some experience.

Just got back from the game. First off the additions and renovations look awesome. It truly feels like a different stadium, but not in a bad way. Welton looked really strong and I am enjoying watching him play so far. The throwbacks looked REALLY good and truthfully I would have no problem wearing them full-time. They just worked, the players looked right in them. Armanti was practically non-existent but it seemed to be intentional. They just simply kept the ball out of his hands most the day. Not a bad idea though. The defense played with MUCH more ferocity than they did all last year, they looked very solid. Overall very happy with the way we bounced back this week. Plus 30,000 + was INCREDIBLE, the atmosphere on Halloween night is going to be one to remember.

That's not what I heard Coach Moore say in the post-game interview. And, perhaps we are talking about two different comments. But, I heard him say that all the stuff that was a problem with the passing game could be worked out in practice. So, they just ran the ball.

I was in the far right section of that picture and was just blown away at the capacity of the crowd. Grat atmosphere. Can't wait for Black Saturday and Halloween now.

Hate to tell ya, but that wasn't the second team. Not sure we even have a second team for special teams. Just more of the same from the Not So Special Teams coach. Last 5 -6 years we have given up a TON of TD's on kicks & punts. It's a joke!

Who do you suggest we schedule when nobody returns phone calls? Was told last week Jay Sutton has AD's laughing in his face when he calls, some of them from FBS schools. Most are saying call back after #14 graduates. BTW, we still need a couple of games for '09 and since you seem to have it all figured out give Jay a call.

216 row D for me. not a bad seat at the rock. hell walking around to get to the east side, even the grass would be a nice place to sit. love the new east deck, the new scoreboard was freaking nice. it is going to be nice having instant replay this year.
all and all a great home opener for asu and boone. next game for me is furman on 10/22....

Yeah, I knew that was why he was in the game and I'm glad he was....smart guy :D I listened to it via goasu (I'm over 5 hours away and couldn't leave this weekend) but DJ & Brownie painted a slightly negative picture of how he was playing. They thought he had a run-first mentality and wasn't waiting on his receivers to run their routes.....hmmm...now that I think of it, maybe it wasn't all his fault then xsmhx .

I guess we are all spoiled with how AE stepped in and played exceptional as a freshman. What was your thoughts on how he played?

I enjoyed the game and my seats/view. Definately some things need improving for the team. And hope for the 'bigger' games the fans around me, and everywhere that's not students, will stand up and make more noise.

"App Anthem" is available on iTunes. I have a 6-hour tailgating mix on my iPod, covering everything from rap to classick rock to bluegrass. I even have the German folk song that provided the inspiration for Hi-Hi-Yikas.

App Anthem is most decidedly not on my playlist. Just because a guy with a robot-voice-changer microphone keeps saying "Appalachian" over and over doesn't make it a good song.

A wonderful first game of the new KBS era, all things considered. We'll get sounds to go with the graphics, figure out how to make sure the scoreboard actually shows the score at all times, little kinks like that worked out. THe new East-side deck is wonderful.
