I hadn't noticed until Sat. morning that B.C. was playing Kent St. in Cleveland. Reading the paper, I thought to myself, "how many people want to see an neutral site game between those two teams?"
Answer: 10,788

KENT STATE/BOSTON COLLEGE ATMOSPHERE: ATOMIC! (http://www.everydayshouldbesaturday.com/2008/09/03/kent-stateboston-college-atmosphere-atomic/)

Of course, it was a MAC-ACC matchup. Throw in the fact that the ACC school in question was their most geographically-challenged member, and one with a small alumni base, and you're guarenteed high school like numbers. They could have played this game in Pittson, PA, thrown up some temporary bleachers, and probably drawn more spectators.

Temple's A.D. called: He's laughing at your pitiful attendance numbers.

Isn't there a 15,000 attendance standard for FBS?

For an ACC school, 10,000 people is pathetic.

This was a Kent St. home game and Cleveland is 52 miles from campus. Give Kent St. credit for attempting to bring the game to a premier venue in Cleveland. They need a boost in their pathetic avg home ticket sales and I'm sure they were hoping this would draw a decent crowd. It's a shame the MAC schools don't draw more than 15k a game. I think my Bluehens and Montana outdraw most if not all MAC schools.
