When the official attendence is made official today around 3:30PM of todays 1:35 PM start, the Boston Red Sox will have tied the Cleveland Indians at 455 consecutive sellouts.
The record will be broken next Monday when Boston retuirns from a trip to Texas to face Tampa Bay in a series that begins a stretch of 6 games in 10 days between the two teams that could decide the AL East race. The home team has won each of the 12 games thus far in the season series.

Those #'s are impressive though. I'd love to see some team do a game at a place that was larger... but it'd be a logistical nightmare i suspect. there just aren't many places that big... and none of them are remotely suitable for baseball

The Rockies set that record at old Mile High Stadium, which held 76,273, they had to bring in 4,000 temporary bleacher seats because of the deemand for tickets.
