He should be fired if proven true.
Also in article:
He said Ali has been contacted by at least five Division I-AA football programs about a possible transfer from NMSU to pursue his football career and possibly a career in track and field.

Since the player actually started the first game, and then lost his spot, it could be that he is just pissed. Have to wait and see.

I seriously doubt that he "required" everybody to say the Lord's prayer.
Sorry, but if the ACLU is upset with Mumme that is, to me, an indication that he must be doing something right. The United States would be a heck of a lot better off without the ACLU. It is one of the leading forces promoting departure from the original understanding of the Constitution...and when you depart from the original understanding you might as well not even have one.
You may not like a coach leading his team in the Lord's prayer, but to say that it's a violation of a Constitutional Prohibition on the CONGRESS of the UNITED STATES enacting LEGISLATION with respect to the establishment of religion is absurd.
And the fact that anybody even THINKS such things are really violations of the First Amendment as it was understood when it was ratified just illustrates how successful groups like the ACLU, with the assistance of sympathetic courts that long ago openly rejected the idea of sticking to what the Constitution really says, have been at distorting the Constitution.
