-11-1 playoff record, tied for best ever ('99 Yanks)
-6-0 on the road in the playoffs
-Jermaine Dye MVP!!!
-1st World Series win since 1917

Man this just feels so good!!! How could you not feel happy for Mr Reinsdorf as he starts crying as he gets the trophy in the locker room, then to see Kenny WIlliams start to lose it also, just great!!!

And best of all, I won a hat from a member on this AGS board!!!

Congrats to all ChiSox fans. I'm glad they won.

The NL has not won a World Series game in what, two straight years?? I think Boston swept St. Louis last year.

At least no wild card team won it this year! Right, JoltinJoe (or was it Fordham?)? Best wishes to the Sox and to my brother-in-law who covers them for AP.

Great Show. That was a great series, --probably the best 'sweep' series that ever occured. Despite the four straight, each game was closely contested. Congrats White Sox!

That sucked. I don't like either team, but I wish Houston could have made it at least a 4 or 5 game series. I don't like seeing sweeps in the Fall Classic- especially 2 years in a row.

UMMMM it was 4 games

And Ralph... the Sox had a bad call go against them in Game 3 (the HR call) and yet they still won like good teams do!!!

Well done, White Sox....

....but, like others, I wanted a longer series. :(

Gotta say congrats to the Sox. :o

The Astros didn't seem to have the intensity in games 3 and 4 that I am used to seeing. :( Kinda put a damper on my cruise. :bawling:

Maybe next year Stros.

Happy to see a division champion win it all for the first time since 2001.

But did it have to be a sweep? I wanted more October baseball.

I really enjoyed this year's series. Without a strong rooting interest (last year, of course, I was rooting as hard for the Cards as I would for the Yankees), I think I enjoyed the games themselves just for the sake of the game.

The Cubs will win the 2006 WS. From the owner's perspective: if I don't spend the $$$ this year to field a WS team, Chicago will become forever a White Sox town. And thats bad for $$$.

oh, and btw, $$$ = why I don't give all that big of a s--t about the sport of my youth anymore. Can you IMAGINE an NFL without a salary cap? zzz...

The Cubs will win the 2006 WS.

Boston last year... 86 years
White Sox this year... 88 years

with this kind of trend, the Cubs are a shoe-in!!!!! LOL
