It is probably laughable at this point. This is just to point out that not every team has played yet so some the rankings are skewed because of it.

It's not how you do, it's who you play. And in some cases, it's not even who you play, but who you're going to play later and who they played.
Computer ratings are skewed by pre-bias of the system design(er) and don't have any relevance until everyone has played at least five games. Even then, some computer ratings are more realistic than others.

They were penalized for beating Austin Peay. That's the problem with most computer ratings. A win isn't a win unless it's against a higher rated team. And a loss isn't a loss unless it's against a lower rated team. If you check the ratings, you'll probably find that LSU (a winning team in week 1) had their rating drop by defeating the three-time defending champions.
