Post predictions below. My guess is that the game remains close through two quarters before the Sun Devils pull away...

Arizona State 42, Northern Arizona 17

Maybe it's just the drop and elevation and the 5000 or so foot drop on I-17, but doesn't NAU play the other Arizona schools tough?

Usually, yes, but this ASU team is loaded. No disrespect to the Jacks, but I think Paul's about right with his 42-17 pick.

ASU has a rather weak O-line this year. If the Jacks can put pressure on ASU, they can stay in this game for awhile.

Sorry, but ASU will eat your lunch- Dennis Erickson isn't going to lose to NAU.

The game is played at the line of scrimmage. ASU's strength is their D-Line. We'll see what happens, that will tell the tale of the game

ASU by at least 20, unfortunately. ASU is very, very good this year.

i went to high school and was raised with ASU qb Rudy Carpenter and from his words, they are not taking NAU lightly.

He said NAU played them very well last time, and it will not be the same. They will be coming out gunning

Two years ago we caught them off-guard, led at the half, and it took some blatant home reffing for them to beat us. Another reason why I don't think it will be close.

And, also thank you appholes for putting the fear of god into every FBS team...

ASU-41

NAU-13

I hope I am wrong (as does every FCS fan), but I think they are just to good this year.

I hope NAU fans aren't so DELUSIONAL that they think they have a chance to even keep this one close. I'm being facetious of course. Give 'em all ya got Luberjacks.

We'll do our best to make ASU sweat...but I don't see how we can win this game. ASU is just too tough at home. Now if it were played in Flagstaff...

Sounds like something Minnesota said last year before we handed it to them again. Unfortunately for you guys, ASU is WAY BETTER than the Gophers, and that 42-17 score is probably gonna be pretty close.

ASU has a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. And they play well at home. I expect NAU to get rolled in this one, unfortunately. Maybe they can score a few points here and there, but it won't be easy against that PAC-10 defense.

NAU puts up around 17-24 points....the rest is up to the defense

That sounds about right...17-24 points...NAU can score.

That's what I hope, but I don't see it. The Jacks needs to come out strong, like they did in 2006. They need consistent play from the QB position to do that. They need to hit the open receivers and allows the secondary time to match up with ASU's speed on offense. Obviously, it won't be easy.

KJ Gerard WILL get an INT....mark my words.

Igono will have at least 3 SpecTeams tackles

Fitzpatrick will have 5 catches

Skyler Moore will have a TD catch

Lance Kriesien will give ASU all they want

DeHaze will hit 3 FGs...

I like NAU to keep this one close...at least for a while

Lance got pushed in spring and fall camp. I don't know if he'll be starting against ASU. I think the Jacks will play well for a half in this one, then it will get away from them. The Sun Devils just have way too much talent for NAU to stay close. Look for a 42-17 score.

DeHaze is quite the gamer...he's a solid kicker and a good player. I also like Fitzpatrick. He's really reliable in the offense.

Ill bet that he will not only be starting, but will play well BECAUSE of all the talent at QB this fall...

App State's upset of Michigan will prove damaging to the FCS teams' hopes this year. I don't see any major upsets outside of the top 10.

From what I saw, he looked 10 times better than he did last year in the passing game. I rarely saw him run.
Herrick and Slater looked very impressive as well.

I think its a toss up between them all...Kriesiens legs and experience gets him the nod IMO.
