As a good non-BC'er living in Boston should, I pretty much hate everything about the school up at Chestnut Hill. However, I had the opportunity to meet Matt Ryan and I found him to be a genuine guy. I liked the way he played...and though he would eventually be as solid as the hype.

Looks like that day has come sooner rather than later. I wonder if this hurts or helps his development.

If he is truly a good NFL QB he should be fine. Drew Bledsoe did very well starting as a rookie.

Ben Rothlesberger (sp) also didnt too to bad for himself.

Im sure theres many other rookie QBs who can be mentioned as doing well starting as rookies.

If Ryan really is a good QB, he'll be alright in the long term

In the short term, though, he'll likely struggle because the team around him, quite frankly, stinks

A QB can do only so much, especially when that QB is a rookie still learning the NFL job
