Gardner-Webb has changed, I believe, from a silver helmet to a black one. At least that's what they brought to Big South media days.

Yes, Hofstra has changed, but since they do absolutely no self-marketing of the program, it's going to be a while until the new helmet will make it to The Helmet Project site.

Rhode Island should go with either a powder blue or white facemask, the black looks dumb in that combination.

Texas Southern is another good one, and I think the Central Connecticut change is good for them

Idaho State, not a big fan of the change. Really kind of liked the orange

W&M and Sacred Heart are kind of filed under "You didn't really need to," but I think they're alright changes anyway

I just checked out that site that HensRock mentioned. It looks like the guy may have updated it with gold trim around the H. I kind if like the outlined H better.

We will see how it looks in a few days in HD on SNY network on Thursday night when the pride invades Rentschler field to play UConn. I like the helmet, I think the face mask should be white IMO. Good luck Hofstra and give UConn some hell..

I agree with that...I don't like it myself. A&M's is a classic look and need not be copied by other colleges...

It's going to be a life-long battle between Uncle Buck and me. I was actually a Hofstra fan, by way of Uncle Buck, before heading off to UB for my own education. I've been perpetually harassed for it, and I come right back at him for various reasons with HU. I've been going to Hofstra games since 1990, have seen some good times as well as the mediocre days. I'm as vocal in my support of the positive results as well as the poor- no blinders or rose-colored glasses here-- same as with my unbelieveaBULLS. It's been a rough ride the whole way through- from the I-AA days all the way leading up to the present.

Uncle Buck is still yet to make good on a bet between us (over what I can't recall any more), but he's been a few years delinquent in wearing a UB jersey to a Hofstra game... he claims that it wears too big on him. :D
