Torres has a chance at two golds tonight and is probably the favorite in the 50m freestlye.

Phelps has his chance at history by winning his 8th gold in a single Olympics.

Team USA has never lost the event he's racing tonite, the 4x100 medley when they havent committed a false start, so as long as they get past that opening it will probably be smooth sailing to #8.

For some reason NBCOlympics.com is saying the swimming events are all delayed if someone can enlighten me as to why?

Just watched the Phelps race and all I can say is WOW. him and Lezak were just money.
