Youngstown St. put an old fashion butt whipping on Missouri St. 31-7. Game was lop-sided in stats.

As usual, the best D team in the GFC totally dominated. Special teams were awesome and the blue collar YSU O stomped MSU with a run down your throat game . Mason , the Ill. transfer had a near 200 yds run game or better. The Penn St. transfer QB Gliatta had two runs for TDs.

Now 7-1, YSU looks to make not only the play-offs, but also make a serious run at winning the whole GFC this year.

Awesome FB team !!

Stats bear out this butt whipping--

YSU had 331 yds rushing, 203 by Mason and 138 yds passing- total 469 yds.

MSU was held to 116 yds running & 49 passing. Total 165 yds.

The best D in the GFC picked off two passes.

The March of the Penguins continues !! :D Now 7-1, as expected.

Good win in rainy, cold conditions. Marcus Mason is awesome, what a find he was. He said in the paper today he is playing at 80% health and still rushes for over 200 yds against Mizzou St. Defense is playing great, the run D is improved big time this year. Offense has some injuries but still have enough firepower to score on anyone.

YSU fans know this season hinges on these last three weeks. Next up UNI who is struggling a bit but YSU does not play well in the dome. Hopefully YSU travels there Friday instead of day of game. YSU must win 2 out of 3 to get in the playoffs, no easy task considering all 3 remaining opponents are ranked,2 are top 10, & next two are on the road. No easy task, one game at a time.

They are playing like a Top 4 team right now.

All the transfers and Jucos have really made a BIG difference from last year. No question.

I'm working on the UNI scouting report. I think there are now BIG surprises coming in this game as well. :p :p :p

And if Sanders doesn't play-- AN EVEN BIGGER SURPRISE !! :D

MSU wasn't all that bad, but , boy, we really made them look terrible.
