um... He could play the Run (That is for sure)
He couldn't cover - was out of position on just about every pass play
and would sacrifice everything for that one "big hit"

I just don't get it... 4 very good season in Tampa (out of 11)
he averaged over his career 3 1/2 tackles a game xlolx and almost all were against the run

Considering the Bucs did nothing until 1997, I think he was a solid player and leader for that team until he left in 2002. I'm not saying he was hall of fame caliber, but I don't think he's overrated. And he didn't have to cover a man much for the Bucs, he played his zone well.

As a safety he shouldn't have to make many tackles.

Yeah... I guess I'm being kinda hard on the guy xpeacex
But it bugs me that Roy Williams is accused of "not being able to cover" and only good against the run... etc. etc.
and Lynch gets a free ride "He's so awesome" Blah Blah...

I'll start by saying I'm a Cowboys fan, Roy never covered anybody well, in college or the NFL. Plus he played in a different scheme that exposed him. I've seen it in person with my own eyes. He's quite a hitter, if he was bigger he'd make a good LB. The Bucs never asked Lynch to cover a man that much, I didn't see him play much in Denver.
