former Appalachian kicker now on the steelers roster just got a chance to punt for the steelers with their starter blowing out his knee.

i would argue that Julian Rauch improved more from his freshman to senior year in college than any appalachian player during the same span.

i wish him lots of luck!

i hope he does well but he was never the best punter on our team... he would be great as a kicker though... i hope he gets a chance for that also

Rauch was released Sataurday (http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports/nfl/20080802-1105-fbn-steelersmoves.html)to make room for a rookie center.
