PHOENIX -- The D-backs weary bullpen is about to get some help.
Arizona acquired right-hander Jon Rauch from the Nationals on Tuesday in exchange for second baseman Emilio Bonifacio.

Rauch, who took over as the Nats closer when Chad Cordero injured his shoulder in April, was 4-2 with a 2.98 ERA. The 29-year-old covered 17 of his 22 save opportunities.

Our bully has given up a number of games. With Tracy back from the DL and hitting well, I think the offense will be fine.

Good. I was starting to feel like they were going to give up on Owings and/or Scherzer, and send one of THEM over there too....glad they got him for just Bonafacio. xnodx xnodx xnodx

yeah - I had heard rumors that one of them would be part of the deal as well, so to get him for EB was great.

Does this mean that Orlando will return next year?

I doubt it. I've heard strong rumbings about going after Mark Ellis (A's) as a free agent...the feeling is they can get him for about 1/2 the price of O-Dog.

Someone for Randy Johnson to, literally, look up to.
