I don't think you can really call them the A's at this point...AAA's is probably more fitting. And to think they were one out away from being 4 GB at the break...here we are a week later 9 back and the race is over...xsmhx

No kidding, they traded just about everyone. They have 4 rookies starting. OF-Carlos Gonzalez, P- Dana Eveland, P-Greg Smith, P-Sean Gallagher.

The joy in Yankeeland is short-lived.
Jorge Posada goes back on the DL and his season appears to be over.
Damon comes off the DL tonight, but I doubt he'll be as hot as when he went on the DL.
Girardi says he expects to know tomorrow if Hideki Matsui is done for the year. Matsui, who has having a career-type year, went on the DL last week. He was undergoing an examination of his injured knee today.

I'm almost prepared to write off Matsui for this season. Nothing I've seen so far suggests he'll be able to come back without the surgery
Damon coming back will be a big help, if only because I have to think he'll be better at the plate than Cabrera/Gardner
Still, the Yankees have been battling injuries all year and are still right in the hunt. Just focus on the Twins tonight and keep on keepin' on xnodx
