Catamount nation definitely sends prayers and well wishes. Thank God former coach Kent Briggs beat head and neck cancer after a 2005 diagnosis but it was a struggle for him. Have no doubt Coach Patterson can win his battle as well. God bless him, his family, and the WIU family.

Ditto from all of us with the Red Raiders. Mentor of a highly respected opponent. Thoughts and prayers for his recovery.

I did not realize he was 57 years of age. He is right about his lifestyle, he looks 20-years younger. I have no doubt he will come through with "flying colors". Good luck coach.

We played WIU for the first time last year. It didn't take long to figure out that Coach Patterson is a class act. I'm sure all the other Jackrabbits out there join me in wishing him a speedy recovery.
