A few pics I snapped a couple days ago. We've never had anything but natural grass so had to do the whole prep thing with curbing, drainage, etc. Sounds like the FieldTurf crew will begin the install on the 22nd and MSU is trying to get a webcam up and running.

Quit making excuses. We won fair and square.xcoolx :D

I'm anxious to see the finished product, but I won't see it in person until November (only time I could get time off work, but I'll take it).

Looks nice but I'm still looking forward to seeing the Cats on FargoDome turf to repay the visit in the near future. BTW, if you had that turf on your field when we played someone probably would have gotten killed the way the hits were landing that day!!!

A few update pics from this afternoon, they'll start hauling in the crushed gravel fill on Monday. They just finished the asphalt outside the curbing which will be covered with a rubber mat (reportedly blue).

So what's the price tag on this? We have two practice fields of the stuff but unfortunatly we didn't install in the stadium.

I'm sure NoCo will get turf for the stadium.

Two DII national championships in the mid 90s. You guys will bounce back!

I don't think we need the field turf. We don't get bad weather until November and then we only have about 1 game. They do a good job of keeping the natural grass nice.

I just think the fieldturf just looks first class and we practice on it all season so it makes sense to play on it also. But, it's low priority at this point so maybe one day. I am curious though the cost just to get an idea what we'd be looking at.

Last I heard somewhere in the $900,000 range, but we've never had anything but natural grass so a lot of that is the initial site preparation with grading, drainage, curbing, etc. I think the turf install itself is somewhere around half of that amount.

Very nice.

Thanks! I've been following the wa/griz east side expansion & it is pretty impressive. Next years construction of an additional 38 sky suites at Bobcat Stadium on the student side will be a great improvement.xthumbsupx

I had to sit practically in the UM band, and I thought we were all going to cave in due to the weight! xlolx

It's going to be awesome to see both Montana schools having two of the best stadiums in FCS! xthumbsupx

I am with uofmman on this one. Really happy that MSU is getting stuff done farily quickly. Hope to catch a game this year in BOZO.

No team needs nice facilities to help with recruiting, alumni donations, etc.

It's just nice to stay competitive with the top teams in FCS.
