The Cubs didn't give up much. If Harden stays healthy, this sign will read zeroes come October.

Speaking of Cubs pitchers not staying healthy, the Twins Picking Mauer #1 in the draft over Prior looks a lot better, looking back. :)

Harden has seen the DL 9 times already in his young career

I know Harden is frequently injured but this just seems like a bad trade for Oakland. Billy Beane doesn't mess up often. He might have here.

Either that or the A's know something that no one else does. I agree, this seems like a really bad trade for Oakland.

Reed Reed Reed...poor Reed. This is the scrubs. Murphy's Law applies here. They will be lucky to make the playoffs. Zambrano will get injured again just because he is a moron, Harden is a ticking time bomb, and Dempster is going to slow down because this is his first season starting in a long time.

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure this one out. Gallagher put up a good K/9 rate and a low WHIP in the minors. Definitely a Billy Beane type of pitcher. Murton and Patterson are decent. I guess Beane already decided he wasn't going to pick up Harden's option next year so he sold now as opposed to taking a chance with another injury.

Murton was a top prospect at one point but hasn't been much but a career AAA player to this point. Maybe Beane thinks he can blossom with some playing time.
