The world is returning to normal ... JSU 37, UT-Martin 17.
JSU got up on Martin 21-0 in the first quarter. They picked off Skyhawk QB Brady Wahlberg 5 times (a sixth was called back) in the first half.
Clay Green had 141 yards rushing and 2 TDs, 173 yards all-purpose. Wahlberg finally started hitting the right color jerseys in the second half, but carried the team mostly on his legs. It wasn't enough though. They dug themselves a pretty big hole with all those turnovers.
Very good crowd, at 12,919, despite this being our first victory at home this year. We're averaging over 12,000 a game, with just one game in four digits so far.
With EIU steamrolling EKU 53-22, JSU doesn't look so far out of the hunt for a three-peat anymore. What the heck happened to the Colonels, by the way? Anybody?
